Chewie

My full name is Chewbacca, but my friends call me Chewie.  I'm a miniature poodle and I will be 2 years old in April 2026. 

I am training to become certified with the PAWS Therapy Dogs programme and that's why sometimes my mum (Mrs Sorlie-Pring) will ask you to interact with me in a certain way. This is so that I can learn how to support you properly.  

In school, I love to sleep on my mat or a snuggly bean bag, give you my paw in exchange for a treat, or curl up on the sofa while you read to me. You can always stop and stroke me in the corridors – I love attention – but please remember that I'm small, so walking inside the building is best, so I don't get trampled! 

At home, my best friend is Winston, who lives next door (he's a golden retriever) and we like to meet and have a chat through the garden fence. I love to chase a ball and enjoy a roast dinner on a Sunday. If I could go for a walk anywhere, I would choose a sandy beach in Somerset because I can go there all year long and run for miles. 

I'm based in the Packham classroom, or Reading Room, and I'd love to see you any time. 🐾
